Does anyone have the procedure for removing the rear spoiler on a 2010 Range Rover Sport? The brake light in my spoiler is loose. I would like to tighten it up. Thanks. Phil

Easy enough, you will need to remove the plastic trim from the outer edge either side of the tailgate, not totally sure if the trims are there on the split tailgate but the removal principle is basically the same from the inside, underneath you will find two large torx screws one either side, remove these, on the rear edge are three alignment adjusting screws, one in the centre and one each end just remove the retaining nuts, I can't remember if they are 12 or 13mm spanner size. The spoiler will then just lift off, I would suggest you get a second pair of hands to help support the spoiler, although not heavy it is quite easy to scratch the roof panel with the adjusting screws if trying to support it and disconnect rear brake light wiring and camera plug and also the rear washer jet tube yourself if I remember correctly all at the same time. The brake light unit is retained by two small nuts one either end again I can't remember exact size, they are torqued up to 8 Nm according to the specifications.

Forgot to mention if it's of any interest the adjusting screw locking/retaining nuts are torqued up to 8 Nm and the two large torx screws are 6.5 Nm. for some reason L/R say fit new torque screws, I think it may be because they have a locking compound on them, I have never bothered and never had a problem and its not as if the spoiler is removed on a regular basis hopefully.

I did mine recently and it was not to bad a job.

Thread resurrection here… just tried to do mine and the right hand side long bolt made a bang noise - I assumed sheered tbh or spinning in situe but no. Can anyone show me what it’s attached to before I go attacking it? Is it one of those stupid clip type bolt nuts?
