One of the LEDs on my high level brake light has failed. Do I have to replace the complete light unit or can I replace just the failed LED? How do I access it, and where's the best place to get replacements?

Also, I've just bought one of the interior led light kits from ebay. do I just go around with a screwdriver blade prizing off covers or is it a bit more involved than that?

I believe you can only change the unit which means removing the rear roof spoiler - simple enough but a 2 man job to prevent scratching to surrounding panels & disconnection of the washer & electrics.

I'm sure I have a spare one sitting around - it came with an AB spoiler that I sold separately - it's yours for a drink if you want it

Fitting LEDs - Beware the bulb connectors disappearing back up inside the door panel or roof lining - apart from that your right  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

That'd be great, I'd be very happy to cover a drink and postage.

I've done most of the LEDs, 1 numberplate light seems to have a very short cable which has so far prevented me from getting to the LED, or more precisely has me worried about me being able to reconnect it. I'll try again tomorrow. Also the clear cover over the 3 front map and courtesy LEDs seems to require more force than I'm prepared to give it, yet. Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

The cabin overhead light cover can be a but there are clips on the one side if I remember rightly - be brave
