Any good indie servicing in the Portsmouth area?

Hi all, just dipped my toe into the world of RRS ownership with a 2010 3.6tdv8 in Stornaway Grey with Beige leather. It’s got full main dealer service history and has 94k on the clock and was last serviced a year ago at 88k. An indicator message is suggesting a service is due now. So, do I go local Indie it stick with a main dealer, in my case Guy Salmon Port Solent? Would an indie be cheaper? Any thoughts and recommendations welcome please.

Sorry, I don't know anyone in the Portsmouth area but could recommend an excellent indie in London if that helps? (probably not but didn't want you to think you're alone out there!) 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

I would also be interested, I am currently a "lurker" here as I currenty own an Evoque and based in Fareham.

As for Guy Salmon, I have been very impressed with their service over the last 4 years, however it does come at a main dealer premium.

Hi all, thanks for the suggestions. I spoke to several indies and settled on West 4x4 at Waltham Chase. Booked in for a full service + gearbox fluid change on 21st August. I’ll update on here with the results.

Oh, and Guy Salmon wanted £831 for an oil change + filter + air and fuel filter. Nice to have the GS stamp in the book but there is a limit!

Do West 4x4 have a flushing machine or is it just a normal oil change? A megaflush with a machine is the preferred Thumbs Up Visitor from fullfatrr.com

West 4x4 lift the engine up enough to get the gearbox oil pan out in it's entirety. Don't think they have a flushing machine as he said they get about 90% of the old fluid out, but not all of it as some of it is held in the torque converter. They changed the filter for the better metal ones and obviously the fluid too. They did a full service, plus engine oil and filter, air filter and fuel filter, plus they found that my wheel nuts had swollen, ouch Embarassed . They only had 12 in stock so I'll have to go back for the last corner to be done when they get a delivery. Overall it came to £1074 inc the dreaded VAT. Suspect Guy Salmon would have wanted £1500+ IF they would have even agreed to attempt the gearbox fluid change.
