Suspension noise

Ok with all this lovely hot weather we're having I have just discovered through driving with my windows down how noisy my air suspension is.In fact I would describe it as being similar to that of an old spring mattress when someone is jumping up and down on it! Shocked

Is this typical of a Range Rover Sport 2013 with 60k on the clock or is something amiss as I can imagine pedestrians must hear before they see me such is the noise!

This is my first venture into Landrover and are my concerns warrented ?

Thanks people Thumbs Up

Is it a creaking type noise? Mine has started doing this. Apparently it`s common in this hot dry weather. Get some silicone spray on the ARB bushes. Not done mine yet...... Rolling Eyes Steve.

Steve
Thanks for the tip but as the vehicle is still under warrenty I don't want to start getting loose with a spray and voiding anything should it be something more serious.

It sound just like a newly married couple going Censored on a old tired sprung mattress!!!

Just put up with it till it rains, or drive it through a river. Mines the same since the hot weather arrived but disappears when the rain comes. It’s all to do with surface rust in the bushes. I lubed it with silicon spray and that lasted a week, but my indi says all is well and my car is a 2013 with 60000 miles.

I forgot to say well done for buying a RRS, I’m on my fifth LR and wouldn’t be without one.

We all like the sunshine but they like mud, water, rain, snow and sh*t, so at the moment she is a duck out of water.

If you want to get at all the bushes then take the wheels off, otherwise get her up to off-road height, secure with axle stands and leave a door open to prevent inadvertent lowering. When you get under you can see all the potential “squeakers” and a good spray may well help. It may be the anti roll bar bushes or the suspension arm bushes. Try to identify whether its rear or front.

Another way is to hose them down but NOT with a pressure washer, there are a lot of important wires etc in the wheel wells. A gentle wash down or fine spray is good.

I’m waiting for rain and have fitted earplugs.

I have this exact problem - it's embarrassing - makes my Sport sound like an old banger. Only started happening the past couple of weeks so would fit with the dry weather thing.

Would really appreciate a photo of where these ARB bushes are/what they look like so I can dose them with silicone spray at the weekend!

Thanks Smile

I have sprayed mine 2-3 cans £15 over a few days.
Seems to last 20 mins, then back to squeak squeak squeak like some old car springs.
