ive lost my off road modes and Hi/low range.

put my IID tool on and I get the code: P181D-00 (2f) clutch change over solenoid - range/performance error.

I can calibrate the sensor and motor to make it change into low range and back but it will always return to P181D error code.

I have had a look at the 3 plugs under trans box - all plugs looked ok (we check again)

battery volts seem fine (but will do a long charge)

I have remove battery and removed the transfer ECU plugs (seemed clean but will do this again to have a better look at the ECU pins. )

what parts should I look to change first? the solenoid? I just have a feeling is some other issue but could just be the solenoid.?
