Light Fittings In the Air Dam

On the L320, in the plastic air dam moulding under the front bumper there is a moulding on either side (under the fog lights) that looks as if it was designed to take a light of some description - I guess similar to what was fitted to HSE P38 Range Rovers.

I have never seen a light fitted in this position in the L320 but was obviously designed for one - so did any L320 have a rectangular light fitted there as standard and has anyone used this position for any sort of light.

Thanks

I've never sean one fitted.

As you say looks very much like P38 fog lights or for a radiator.

I don't recall there being mounts for the lights to attach to though, behind the bumper

Yes I have never seen a model with lights fitted but nevertheless the moulding is there - maybe a changed idea between design and production. Maybe that is where the fog lamps were originally supposed to be.

Do you mean the bits that are moulded with a mesh design in the lower valance? On the SC and TDV8 the right hand one (when sat looking forward) is used for an auxiliary radiator air inlet. The SC was in the line up from the start so I doubt they had intended them to be for fog lights. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

There on the light switch you pull it out but you can't do it if the lights are on auto you have to turn it around to on if it has them Thumbs Up

The cheaper set only fit only MY2005 to MY2009, the more expensive ones are for MY2010-2013 when the Car had a facelift. John

The Adam Mesh ones are also not a genuine L/R accessory, although expensive do not include the genuine rip-off L/R price. I did have a RRS1 pre-facelift with the Mesh ones fitted and they were very good quality, perfect match and fit, far better than your usual cheap Chinese aftermarket crap.

Cheers

We seem to have got off track onto aftermarket DRLs which is not the topic. I can buy those strip DRLs locally for less than about 10 pounds on ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2X-12V-8-LED-D...wYlRZNXCW.

The question seems to have been answered in that the mouldings are air intakes on the SC and TDV8. For these cars I guess the relevant moulding is cut out and a grill for air intake inserted.

Cheers
