I just purchased this 1 which is a sandisk
Will the system read mp3 in separate folders or just files on there own

if standard system then think single folder with all MP3 files in
try just adding a single MP3 file in root of drive and delete everything else to test TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

another option is to try a smaller flash drive, say a 4gb and see if that works....i've never used anything bigger than that so it could be that the 32gb is to big..

The max size it will read is 32gb as I have used this size, however I think it has to be ExFat format not Fat32.

Cheers

Not saying it's the problem but might be worth checking the lead that goes from USB socket through the cubby box lid into the harness, as these have been known to break a wire with continual opening and closing the lid. Not sure what the symptoms would be if the lead was broken as regards to screen message though. Do you by any chance have a USB socket under the flap by the rear air vents between the front seats ?, if so could try a drive in there as might prove something.

Cheers
Col

Occasionally my 32gb USB takes a while to connect. Leave it a bit longer & see if it connects. I'm not sure if it's related to the amount of info on the USB stick? I've got loads of music on mine. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
