Can't remember for sure, but I thought Sainsbury's city diesel does, or might have, consist of up to 7% bio diesel.

IIRC there is a warning just inside the front cover of the RRS L320 owner’s hand book about the percentage of biodiesel the car will run on and it is pretty well the percentage that is standard in all forecourt diesel pumps today. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

right ok thanks guys, maybe look into home made fuel.but im guessing that would be a bad idea as i t would be hard to work out the percentages and be a lot of work n cost. would be just easier to buy the fuel.

If you can make your own safely then yes there are big savings as the the Revenue are quite generous with IIRC 2000 ltrs pa is allowed before duty is levied but getting the perentage right as you say would difficult. There are quite a few people running series and TDi200 Defenders and Disco1’s (ie pre-electric engine control vehicles) on cooking oil mixed with diesel - you can tell the cars doing it quite easily from the smell of the emissions! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
