Headlamp Upgrade Affecting High Beam Assist

I upgraded the headlamps on my 2010 TDV8 some time ago with the following:
- Main Bi-Xenon lamp - OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited D3S
- Auxilliary high beam - Philips X-treme Ultinon LED H7

I was very happy with the improvement in light output in both low-beam and high-beam. Until yesterday I had never driven in a situation where the high-beam assist was activated.

The following problems now exist when the high-beam assist is activated.
1) activation of high-beam is no longer as responsive.
2) high-beam now shuts down when ever road signs appear.

The above two issues were never evident previously when the factory headlamp bulbs were installed.

Has anyone else exprienced similar problems.

Actualy mentions in Owners Handbook that reflective road signs can affect the operation of auto high beam, so may be relevant to high beam assist as well.

High Beam Annoyance

I am surprised you are able to keep the HBA enabled, i find on the east coast it was more
dangerous to other drivers as the High Beam quite often failed to dip when there was
oncoming traffic, so disabled it in the vehicle settings. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Mine is fine on a straight road but if there’s a corner, it doesn’t dip unless the oncoming vehicle flashes me, then it works instantly....but too late. I’ve also now disabled it. 2012 5.0 SC AB
