You need the rails and the finisher kit. They come in silver or black and will cost about £700 for genuine LR parts.

Part number VPLWR0103 / VPLWR0109 (silver) or VPLWR0104 / VPLWR0108 (black).

You can fit yourself. Instructions are here on topix. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
Evoque MY17 TD4 AB

We have the LR roof rails and bars. The roof bars go on only when we need them but the rails stay in place all the time. To be honest, it would be too much faff to take the rails off again after you use them and they look fine in place (at least to us but we like ours to look ‘purposeful’!)

I have spoken to LR who confirmed the roof rails need fitting before the cross bars. - £770!!!

The cross bars are £363.

Am i stuck with paying £770 or is there a way around this?

Found this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Top-Roof-Rail-R...SwyjBW3Jlz

The LR prices are very expensive - our rails came as part of the deal when we bought the car. If you’re going to fit them yourself, you could try calling Duckworth Parts or Matford Land Rover Parts (both on this forum’s ‘site sponsors’ list) to see if they could give you a better price. I’ve never used them but the LR Centre (https://www.lrparts.net/range-rover-sport-l494-roof-rails-in-silver-genuine-land-rover.html) seems to offer better prices for parts that appear to be genuine LR (looks like about £325 ex VAT for the silver rails and finisher kit together and £50 more for the black ones). I can’t personally vouch for the LR Centre but they seem to get some decent reviews online.

I spoke to lrparts.net who told me they make & stock a replica roof rail & cross bar kit. £142 + vat or the geniune one is £450 + vat

The guy said you can not tell the difference.

What's peoples thoughts on that ?

Every place I have called after them are around £900. Something isn't right with the massive price difference.

A big part of the price difference will be the LR mark up. My instinct would still be to go with the genuine ones but I’m a cautious soul. Are the load ratings etc the same for both products? If you do go with the replicas, please update the forum on how you get on!

I don’t really have any info on the replicas the guy on the phone just said he can do a kit with rails and cross bars for £142 +vat

The reviews for lrparts.net are great but the guy today was so vague and not interested in my questions, it was just “erm this is the replica price this is the genuine price”.

The genuine price is still half the price of all the other companies I tried.

Don’t know what to do.... anyone any ideas other than paying dealer prices.

What about these that don’t need the roof rails?

DK 136 looks like a Brazilian company. Can you get these particular Thule bars in the UK (I cant find them on their UK website)? May be worth contacting Thule directly to see if they can supply them here.

When you search the Thule website it gives you these option

RR Sport (with roof rails) - then shows you a few cross bars

RR Sport (without roof rails) - when you click this it just says “we don’t have any products to that support no rails)

Bit lost now as to what to do.....

Try Whatsapping (Contact number at the end of the video) DK136 and ask them for the Thule Part Number, then search here for that?
