South Africa 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver

Should one not be able to see the next service in the car's menu? I can't seem to find it. --

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

IIRC you will get a count down on the screen from one month to service due date............ it isn’t fool proof and living where you are and it being an S/C the service intervals may be different but here the servicing is every 12 months or 16,000 which ever comes first. If SA is the same as UK then also you don’t get a service report, they do it all on-line now. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Naks,

You have to turn the ignition on, but don't start the engine. Go to menu and scroll down to service and it'll be there. Won't show if engine is running.

Dogboy, I tried this, but the only option is the Engine Oil level, no service indicator --

Interesting, mine warned me that a service was due in 2700km, then suddenly counted down to service due within the next 300km of driving. We will see how it goes tomorrow.

Excellent service from my stealer, great service advisor, kept me informed all day. But the SC has a split dynamic system pressure pipe which is where the oil was coming from. So I have a TDV6 S (I think) which is surprisingly nice. The Diesel engine is plenty for my day to day driving needs. The SC should be back on Monday.

Funny that, I went past my local LR dealer to check what was missing from my wheel changing kit, and while I was there I booked the service on date due.

As I was leaving, the car indicated the service was due in 2900km. Rolling with laughter --

I bet it counts down fast, maths doesn’t seem to be the RRS ‘s strong point Laughing

Anything specific I should ask them to check? This will be the third annual service. --

No, my only real issue was the leaking dynamic system pressure pipe. Hope yours goes OK.

OK got the SC back this afternoon. Service done including an oil change which LR did as part of the free service, happy with that. As you all know, the back end gets dirty and in the recent wet winter weather here I noticed that the loan RRS kept cleaner with mud flaps fitted. So although I am not mad about the look, I decided to have a set fitted. Only Land Rover could charge 296 pounds to supply and fit 4x mud flaps. P..s take extrodinaire : Evil or Very Mad

I don't think the mud flaps will help much , mine still gets filthy , the new 2018 rear spoiler with the cut outs might help , I wonder if you can retro fit them and if so has anyone yet tried to see if they stay cleaner

Most of my driving is city or extra urban, 30 - 40 mph territory. I noticed a distinct difference with the loaner compared to mine so thought I would give them a try. Didn’t know they were gold plated Laughing

I had mud flaps on mine.

They made no difference to the way the rear end got plastered in sh*t at all. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

How did you know Wilf? Did you have them without as well? Anyway, it’s a cheap way of a bit more protection for the next couple of years until I change cars.

We don’t have as much sh*t here on our roads as the soil is sand amd not muddy. In England the roads are usually very muddy in winter and in some places you seem to have a lot of dung.
