Range Rover sport 4.2 v8 supercharged fuel pump replacement

Hi all looking for pointer on changing my fuel pump on my 2005. Range Rover sport 4.2 v8 supercharged I’ve just bought new pump and filter as i think my old 1 is on way out after running out fuel by previous owner and have low fuel pressure code and I’m after information and best way to change it I’ve been told u can change the pump from under seat is this correct and if not and i have to drop the tank how easy / difficult is it to drop the tank and anything in the way of doing so or best way to do it thanks

I think you have to drop the tank.

Get the fuel low.
Spray WD40 (or similar) near the bolts that hold the metal cradle under the tank
Undo the pipes at the front if you can (or their other ends if easy)
Undo the fuel filler at the rear

Loosen off the metal cradle bolts a few turns.
Put a jack under the cradle with a wood block on top
Lower tank down on it

Thanks mate how many hours roughly does it take and easy inuf to take fuel pump filter out and put new 1 back in

2 hours ?

If the cradle is rusting away badly (common) it's a good time to order a new one now.
