Wales 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
Mega flush or not ?

Evening all.

My RRS is starting to play up, usual sumptoms when going through the gears Sad .Does one go for the traditional service on the autobox or a Mega flush?

Might be worth giving Disco_mikey a call, saw a post on Facebook last month that he'd got a machine in for a few days and was offering flushes on the 8 speed box, not sure if it's something he's going to be doing again though but might be worth asking.

Hiya well I had my first rr/s mega flushed it was a 2006 model use 2.7 diesel with 90000 on it firstly started to judder in 3rd gear witch was very annoying but once it had been mega flushed it was like a new gearbox had been put in it was totally worth having done

Pros & Cons..or try 'Dr Tranny' by Lubegard

I would say don't jump to the conclusion that a flush will cure your issues. Have a read thro' a few Google search write ups, and even look at YouTube.
If there are problems with the gearbox, then washing away the friction matter suspended in the fluid may help for a while, but that in itself can spell danger for what the gearbox (friction) plates are trying to achieve.

Another option is Dr.Tranny additive. It may also help you, and buy you some mileage before the inevitable.

I can vouch for it working on a ZF6HP26 that had shudder at 55/60mph. All still well after 10k miles.
