Viscus fan removal tool

can any confirm the part number for the viscus fan holding tool? unfortunately I don't have anything that could work so wont be changing my timing belt today

Hi, have you tried to undo the viscous fan just using conventional tools?

I'm asking because I bought the special fan removal spanners that Powerful UK sell. I found that the fan removal spanners weren't actually necessary beecause the fan came undone with VERY little effort. Of course my vehicle is a 2007 i but AFAIK the viscous fan is same as your model.

There are many threads on the Disco 3 site describing removal of the fan without the special tools, just using a bit of ingenuity. If you were nearer I'd offer a loan of my spanners but unfortunately ......... 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
