Without being in anyway disrespectful, I can't see why the BBC seem to be blaming the fatal accident on BMW. Confused

Agreed. Someone crashing in to a tree to avoid a broken down vehicle is not the fault of the broken down vehicle's manufacturer. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Its not good for BMW but we all know that modern accountancy/procurement methods means everything is sourced from the lowest bidder. A comforting thought when your next a passenger flying 7mile up!

For BMW to be blamed because a Ford driver lost control under emergency braking is a stretch of the blame culture - the junction where the broken down BMW was 'parked' appears to be well sighted (unless its was dark or bad weather).
