L322 2013 Autobiography .Bonnet/Hood misalignment issue

Hi all
Did,nt notice at the time of purchase but my RRS bonnet is quite badly misaligned on the passenger side and does not line up with the door at all and I cannot see any obvious adjustment in the hinges
Gap narrows from the headlamp down to hardly nothing near the passenger door .
No issues with bonnet catch release but I have to slam the bonet shut to ensure the vehicle locks!

How do you adjust the hinges to ensure correct alignment?

Thanks Thumbs Up

Ivan

Have you tried loosening the two 13mm headed bolts shown in the picture with the paint missing ?, as it looks like someone has already had a spanner on them, as they appear to be the only visible bolts when I had a quick look at mine.

Cheers
Col

I had a similar issue but at the bonnet catch end. Took me a little trial and error to get it just right. I think Col has it right, I bet if you just slacken those bolts, you will find the holes in the hinge are oversize to allow adjustment. As said the give away that they have been messed with is the paint marks. I also had to adjust the wing a little and used an adjustable spanner with insulation tape on the jaws to prevent paint damage to the bolts. Worked a treat. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Yes I did note the paint damage on those bolts and think the same .Regarding oversized the adjustment I need would mean they would have to be elongated but nothing ventured nothing gained .
I did think does the hinge mounting plate on the wing need shims but accessing the securing bolts looks awkward!

I will let you know the result good or bad Thumbs Up

Just had a look on eBay and the holes are indeed elongated for vertical adjustment.
