Hi, when I got mine the screen was frozen. I thought it might need a new unit but it turned out to be debris which was shorting out the contacts. The screen has metallic strips top and bottom and down both sides that don't connect in the corners (that I assume detect the position of your finger when you touch it). Dirt/debris had got down and was shorting them out. I stripped the unit out and cleaned it up with electrical spray and it is still working fine 18 months later.

Getting the unit out is a bit of a faff but there are videos on You Tube showing you how to strip the console to get access to the unit.

Best of luck Thumbs Up

I took out the display and pulled out all the plugs and then adjusted everything again, it still does not work. I have now bought a used one and it will come in the next few days. Let's see if it works then. But I think that the problem is not on the display.

Disconnect the battery for a few seconds, then reconnect it. Mine used to do that until I replaced the battery.

Any chance it could be a faulty navigation DVD unit? Try unplugging it before starting the engine. Worth a try. 2008 Range Rover Sport 2.7 SE Zermatt Silver.

Just disconnect and reconnect the battery before messing around with the fibre loop, it's an easy test to see if it's a power issue or a module issue. Reading around the forums, its usually power, mine would do this every couple of days but since its had a new battery it's been fine.

If it is the battery then put a multi meter across battery terminals and measure the voltage across the terminals with no engine running with the engine running and also with engine running and all electric switches on so air-con heated seats if you have them and lights then post the results on here Thumbs Up

it will be the bluetooth unit. take the most connector out and then join the ends together inside the barrel of a biro. it will all come back to life then.
