Swap 3rd row seat for spare wheel?

Has anybody removed the useless 3rd row seat from an L494 so a spare wheel can be fitted?

I'm trying to figure out what parts need to be ordered. And I don't know what size spare wheel will fit either.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

From looking in the workshop manual I think that the compressor and battery setup is totally different as a starting point!

The shop manual shows photos of the two layouts?

I see that the compressor needs to be moved forward, but don't know what would change with the battery. Also some different ducting might be needed.

Looks like mostly a bunch of plastic parts but it's hard to tell which parts might already be there. I was hoping to get all of the parts before ripping into it. Maybe a scrap yard with Rovers can help.

Manual shows how to change the battery with and without the 3rd row seats, that's all that I could see.
No more detail than that.

Thanks Barry. I'm not getting very promising info from the part suppliers, but I'm not giving up. This can't be that hard to get done.

I think I'll take the seat out so I can take a good look after I receive the floor panel that I ordered. I'm hoping it won't be too much more than moving the compressor forward so it fits inside of the spare. I might get by just ordering a spare, jack tools, the floor panel and some relatively low cost parts.

It sure would be a help if somebody could post a photo of the spare wheel compartment with the spare out (2014 or later RRS). I'd like to see how the compressor is mounted.

Rover lists a different compressor part number for the spare wheel option and it comes with the bracket. Bracket not offered alone. The third row seat compressor mounts to the top of the battery box, but I'll have to move it forward so it nests inside of my new full size spare. I won't be buying a new compressor.

Thanks

Too old to pull out the spare for a photo but this is the best I could find, drawing attached.
Battery setup in 5 seat version of L494.

Thanks so much Barry, that's just what I needed. It seems that Rover won't sell the compressor bracket alone, so I may have to fabricate some kind of adaptor to move it forward a few inches.
