Rim protection 275/45 R20

Hi all.

Having bought General Grabber winter tyres late last year and absolutely loving them, especially the extra side wall protection, the time has come with the weather warming up to swap them for summers.

Having looked to see what there is on the market but hard to find any images or reference to sidewall / rim protection for almost all brands.

Grabber GT have no option to add any extra so was wondering if the Hankook Ventus RH06 was any better? Seems to be a popular tyre on here so wondered if the were any photographs of 275/45 R20 fitted to have a look at and compare?

I'm open to suggestions and no real preference at this stage although north of £200 per tyre is not an option!

Thanks in advance.

G

No, they are full on Winter tyres. Whilst they have M+S rated tyres, I don't think they have a genuine "All Season" tyre although no doubt someone will correct me on this Smile

I'll see if I can post a picture later today.

Thanks.

G

Continentals have good rim protection walls.

The ones I had on my wheels that I just sold were very good.

Hi Hog.

Just looked them up and they seem very noisy at 76db!

i installed them after the Conti Contacts and they are more quite imo.and more comfortable as well.
I sometimes see diffent ratings when it comes to noise. In the Netherlands they are rated 72 db.
nouse also depents in the type of asphalt what is used and the noise levels are measured outside , not inside to car. RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red

My wife's Evoque had a set of Michelin Latitude Sports fitted when she bought it, and I am impressed by the rim protection on them. Not 275/40 20's but 20" evoque size so I'd reckon the 275's won't be much different? I can't say much about the ride quality as I've not driven it much, but when I did I gave it a good test round the bends on Dynamic mode and they handled pretty well

Hopefully these pic's might give an idea of the protection
