Charging battery while still connected up ........ that ok?

Hi, I purchased one of the Lidl smart battery chargers (I know it's not the best charger out there).

Is it ok to charge the battery while it's still connected up?

Ive only been doing short trips lately so just want to top the battery up.

Thanks

I left mine connected overnight with no problems, but I am sure there will be plenty of people that think that this will damage your battery. 2008 Range Rover Sport 2.7 SE Zermatt Silver.

Yes. Smart chargers are designed to be connected with the car still connected
