Is the radiator fan constantly running?. Usually that is the cause of low temperature and slow warm-up. MY12 RRS HSE

If it’s any help, and for comparison, in the current weather my temperature gauge needle moves off it’s rest at about 2 miles and is up to normal temperature by about 4 miles.

EDIT: Sorry, just noticed yours is petrol. The timing for mine may be affected by the FBH cutting in automatically so may not be a good comparison. Embarassed Robin

Sounds very much like a stuck (open) thermostat. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

So this morning it took 15 mins and about 4 miles for the gauge to rise to halfway between cold and normal so ordered a new thermostat ready to fit Thumbs Up

My 2010 TDV8 has always (since new) been very slow to warm up according to the dash gauge (even in summer). Often it will take 5-10km before the gauge is at the normal operating temperature and this is with the airconditioning on and in heavy stop start traffic.
