This any good to you?

The reason I saw this was because after a battery change a few weeks ago, mine dropped to zero on the way back from the indi I use, but then within 5-10 seconds bounced back. Did that twice on that journey and twice since but otherwise fine.

Hi, as OaC has highlighted ^

dodgy wires on top of the sender unit, which I think is on top of the tank, the reason for taking in with 1/4 tank if they have to drain or drop the tank to access

Hi,
on ours it was NOT a software issue, it was the wiring on top of the sender that was at fault and needed replacing
not sure the route the wires take but try and trace backwards from the sender unit

Is this a LRJ TSB that refers to your problem? Don't know if you would have any luck bearing in mind the age of the car;

Hi,
as in the other linked post, the dealer contacted CRC to get it done as the "approved" warranty would not cover it as "known issue" Evil or Very Mad

so not sure of cost its more about the labour to get to it then do the repair Rolling Eyes Porsche Cayenne 2022

I had this problem with my Facelift 2009 Sport, three years ago.After a bit of research. I was told that Landrover were aware of this problem( it was the wiring on sender unit. It entailed dropping tank and changing wiring connections on sender unit. Main agents denied any knowledge of this. But after contact with customer services, they did the job without cost. itisme

Had the same fault about 6 months ago (2011 RRS). Got the same link from Col and forwarded it to our local Indie. Tank was dropped & sender unit connectors changed. Worked correctly since. Think I was charged about £80.

Fingers crossed but All working now, i removed the drivers wheel and dried out the wiring connectors i found behind the inner wheel arch using a heat gun, whether by pure chance or luck after this its been fine for the last 2 days, I did put the pressure washer right up into the archers when i gave it a clean on friday and it was the first time this happened directly after i left the jet wash.
