Mistery remote controller found on RRS 2008 2.7 SE

After getting a RRS 2008 2.7 SE a couple of months ago I decided to give it a good clean, wash and polish. I came across with a few parts left in the boot, centre console, glovebox, etc. Some parts were clear where they belonged, however I came across with a remote control that haven’t got a clue what it is for. Chances are it is nothing to do with the car and it was just left there, the other possibility is that it is for something in the car but I can’t find the receiver because it is out of sight or it was removed. Does anybody recognize this remote control? See picture below.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

On the back of the controller or in any battery compartment is there a makers plate? Looks like the car may have had aftermarket Rear Seat Entertainment screens that have been removed before sale to you. That could account for the Brilliance and contrast control but I cannot think why RSE would want a timer control 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I found toys in between the rear seats so they had kids so that’s a possibility. No markings at the back of the remote, only instructions on how to remove the battery. See picture below.

We had an identical one that we got with one of those LED candle sets you get in places like B&Q and the Range.
They can flicker ('candle' button) or be steady ('light') and you can set them to just stay on for a set number of hours ('4H' etc.) so you don't burn the house down Very Happy

So probably just left behind I'd say.

Agree with pscrivin, it's a remote for battery operated candles. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?
