Thanks, I gave them a call and they do not recommend touching the 4.4SDV8 saying that it could damage gearbox, that'll do for me, question answered

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Fuji White

I wonder if there is any link between remaps and snapped cranks in the TDV6 and SDV6?
A remap produces more power and their fore more internal stress in the engine.
Just a thought on reading this post.

South Africa 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver

Barry, funny you should mention this, because I had a chat with the local dealership, and they claim that the higher output SDV6 are immune to the crank issue. --

Looking a celtic tuning’s website there doesn’t seem to be much point in remap the 306 SDV6 - there isn’t much gain. They must already be in a relatively high state of tune.

But as you say, with the crankshaft issue it’s just not worth the risk of losing your warranty for a small gain.

DMS take it to 358bhp and 602lb.ft of torque on the SDV6. They are generally the best around so looks like there is plenty to play with.
They do a map that takes the SDV8 diesel to 395 and 616lb.ft.

815Nm is impressive, considering the gearbox is only rated to 700Nm...
