United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

It looks very compelling in that advert (so full marks to the marketing team - although as it's a brand new vehicle, why call it "all new iPace"?). Some nice features although nothing revolutionary really. Would I have it instead of a Range Rover? Only if I didn't need a Range Rover's other abilities. Would I have it over a Velar? Yes, I think I would. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Netherlands 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Buckingham Blue

A beautiful and impressive car.
I am curious about owners experiences.
Not only with regard to Jaguar, but with respect to all electric driving as well.
I would not take the gamble at this point in time RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux
RRS 3.0 TDV6 gone
LR 3 HSE V8 gone
DiscoveryII V8 Gone
Discovery 1 V8 Gone
Mustang Shelby
Alfa Guilia (classic)

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I put a deposit on one when they were announced nearly 3 years ago............... was supposed to be launched at the end of 2016, then early 2017, then Autumn 2017 - I got fed up waiting and asked for my deposit back......... Problem is that while it might not have and SDv6 engine it has JLR electronics and we all know what their track record on that front is like - I wouldn’t now touch one in the first 2 years of production as a result. I think it is a cracking looking car and I’m sure that it will be a big seller on looks alone. I’m sure that with no low ratios and not a lot of ground clearance even a “soft road” might severely challenge it with all that weight in the battery pack - for sure it won’t have a suitable recovery point build in! It will go about as far offroad as my soon to arrive Mini Countryman - not very far, possible across a flat grassy field but don’t expect much more.
I tried to spec one up on the configurator but there are no prices yet which means it will be too expensive, just like Velar was at launch. Have you noticed how heavily LR are advertising the Velar at the moment.................. must be in need of some help unlike any other LR product. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I specked one up on the configurator, base car is approx. £64000 & by the time had all the options I would probably want,
I would be cheaper getting the" first edition" which comes in at £81500 Big Cry & that puts it into a different ball park. May go & have a look at one but that's about it unless there are large discounts. On a new model, that will not happen, at least for a while

I put on a few choice options and quickly hit £75k!

What annoys me about JLR is the seats. On a £64k vehicle, you get basic seats with basic adjustment. With decent adjustment, you can get comfortable but it seems that JLR think if you want a premium SUV, you should pay extra for a decent seat. Gits. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I watched the I-Pace v Tesla X 75D - now why didn’t they test it against the 90D which is the same kW motor, so it proved the Tesla was slower 0-100kph-0 and so was the Tesla S P100D probably because both are somewhat heavier then the Jag. Mind you the price of the Tesla X P100D with ludicrous mode (0-62 is 2.6sec) starts at £150,000 which makes the I-Pace look cheap in comparison! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
