There are 4x4 emergency response units all over the UK, for owners who have 4x4 (any 4x4 doesn’t have to be a Landy) who want to help out getting doctors out to patients, patients into hospitals, delivering medicines out to remote places and a host of other good deeds in the weather conditions that the UK is suffering. As part of my job I have medical qualification and am a registered 1st Aider - I am not in the Emergency Response Team locally because I am away at sea too much but I am registered with them and the local police that I can be called on in a civilian capacity to assist with emergencies. For the Emeregncy 4x4 Response groups all over the UK you do have to go through special training and knowledge updating and you have to have a revue of any records held by the police (CRB revue I think it is called??) - google 4x4 Emergency Response Teams in UK and you should find out where your nearest is. They are always looking for new people to help out in bad winters. It does involve a fair bit of commitment in giving up time to training which you must attend so many times a year , and you have to have a clean Criminal Record! 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - a test car before Seeing if I could go to totally Petrol/Diesel free motoring

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

If only there was some sort of machine that could take off and land vertically... Very Happy "I am never content until I have constructed a model of the subject I am studying. If I succeed in making one, I understand; otherwise I do not" - Lord Kelvin
