Trying the sport in snow for the first time.

I have had my sport for just over a year and this morning I get to see what all the joys of having a 4x4 is about. As I look out the window I see all the neighbors trying to get out of the road in there 2wd cars and know how they feel as always got stuck myself with rear wheel drive before.

Let the fun begin! 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Just remember that they go better but stopping is just about the same as the others

Keep your speed down and steady braking Thumbs Up

Well aware of that as I've always looked at the 4x4 drivers that are driving at normal speeds and thought good luck if you have to try and stop in a hurry! 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

B*gger all snow in this bit of Sussex. Probably a good thing - by estimating the depth of snow, my wife demonstrates just how misinformed her understanding of "six inches" really is.

About 4 inches yesterday morning in East Grinstead but up the road in crawley it hardly covered the ground. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Hi
ventured out today, trip to the docs and then a bit of shopping

main roads all clear, well odd bit of drifting coming out of Gainsborough, but our lane was much like above ^^ Thumbs Up

although the drifts where across the road and even in offroad height front bumper was a bit of a plough, easy to drive through as powder just don't want it like ice at that height Rolling Eyes

and had to clean the front wheel out as packed with snow before tucking back up in the garage Whistle

gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue

I got my sons Fiesta MOT'd yesterday and the roads were clear, however today is a different story, the RRS has snow on it but the exposed bits have frozen rain on them like a hard varnish, which I've not seen since the 90's.

Steve. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

I'm still waiting for the snow to turn up in West Sussex. Bit of a let down with only a couple of inches so far at the beginning of the week !
Not had chance to find out if the RRS is any good in the snow yet. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior
