United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Access mode red flashing icon on 4x4 info screen

Hi. I'm fairly new to RRS ownership and this forum...I've had my 2007 tvd8 now for 3 months I tend not to read to much on the forums as I find alot of negativity about these cars.. so far I've had no problems with my RRS. I did my homework before buying.. compressor replaced last year and software update (Amk)along with suspension arms and service completed before purchase. Lots of history and money spent on this car.. it runs like new I have to say.. I will be doing a flush on the gear box soon as I'm not sure that this has been completed as it's at 105.000k at the mo.. I've completed the mods necessary in my eyes to complete the look. After m3s and Mk2 Rs Scoobys and skylines I now have 2 year old twin girls hence the purchase.. Any now a slight problem has arose with a red flashing icon on the 4x4 info screen in Access mode only.. the car will lower at low speeds and work fine but at a standstill it will not.. it will lower then go to extended mode into standard mode.. it's as though it's sensing a obstruction or something.. it's no biggie to me as I'll just lower at low speeds.. could this be a height sensor problem?? Thanks in advance

Have a look on the 4x4 screen to see if you got any red icons on one of the corners that will give you an indication if you have a height sensor issue Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply.. i have a red icon on the front right wheel only occuring in Access mode.. in standard mode though the icon is white but still sits slightly lower than the other 3 white icons on the 4x4 info screen if this helps.. cheers

I think thats the issue then may be a wiring fault or a sensor height best to get codes read if you can to be sure Thumbs Up

So I've finally been able to get the RRs in to a local specialist and it looks as though it is a height sensor issue.. so this will be done along with a calibration tomorrow. they have also told me that once work has been carried out they are gonna leave it over nite before handing it me back just to make sure the air bag on this side doesn't lower or deflate as some times this happens after a height sensor has been replaced.. does this sound right??
