Dog guard help!

Hi all,

I am using my full quota of favours tonight (thanks, Tyrefitter Andy!)
I have a 2007 TDV6 and i have the Land Rover dog guard VUB502080. I have the bottom brackets (thanks Oldandconfused!) but need to fabricate the top brackets. If anybody has one and would be willing to take a picture of how it mounts at top to assist me in manufacturing a pair, i would be very grateful!
Many thanks in advance,

Gary.

It’s not a bracket as such. It’s a bit of bent tubing with a plate on the end that sits against the back of the pillar next to the window. I’ll try to take a picture or 2 tomorrow when I’m at home

You can actually buy the fitting kit/brackets separate from L/R VUB503500 could google number might turn something up on fleabay etc. but from L/R at their prices it is probably dearer than buying the complete dog guard. Laughing

Cheers
Col

In my opinion, as long as the rear seats are in their normal position, the upper brackets are somewhat useless. They only stop the guard moving forwards. If the seats are up, the guard can’t move forwards as the seats will stop the guard moving. Also, the guard has lugs to stop it falling backwards (theses sit in the luggage cover brackets)

Hope this helps

Hi, thanks for pics. I fitted the guard in today and agree with you about the brackets. As long as the seats stay up, the guard is not going to move.
