Well my car is really dated as I am using wheels off an older model RRS as I wanted stronger 20 inch wheels for using the car for what it is designed for. But then again if you purchased for pose then I think you could buy some cardboard knock outs to place in front of the wheels and get your satisfaction that way.I happen to like his wheels and the fact is we all buy these cars for different reasons. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Hi James, I have also used Andrew at Bellissimoto several times (see Bellissimoto post in the Detailing Forum) and he is absolutely superb!

RRSMan, if you go onto Gtechniq's website, you can plug in the specific treatment you want and car size and get a price from there. I don't think any Gtechniq qualified detailers compete with each other on price but I could be wrong.

Thanks Jas.

I am aware of this however that is for the full fat Gtechniq Crystal Serum which can only be applied by approved and accredited detailers. If incorrectly applied this needs to be sanded off hence why only approved detailers can apply this.

This when applied correctly is warrantied for 5 years however, on my past 3-4 cars I have used the light version called Crystal Serum Light - this provides 75% of the protection of the full fat version but at less than half the price and this can be applied by anyone who is good at detailing.

I have it on my Ferrari and Evoque and it's brilliant. I wonder how much Bellissimoto charges for something like this as the average price without any correction involved (i.e if a car is sent directly with factory wrappings on and not washed by a dealer) is around £500-700 and around £1000 with a stage 1 correction.

And the exact reason why none of this stuff, or anything similar, goes anywhere near my cars.

That's why the developed the light version Phil. It really is fantastic especially on a black car as it repels dirt and even water brilliantly. You'll have to really see it to believe it Smile

Ah, sorry - understand. Give Andrew at Bellissimoto a call and I am sure he will be happy to give you a price.

Cheers

And the exact reason why I only let anybody who knows exactly what they are doing touch my cars with this stuff. I have had my car done and my son's and the finish is far better than anything else I have used. I used to always do my own cars with Zymol or Swissvax (depending on the model, age and paint condition) but getting a little older decided to give Gtechniq a go and annoyed that I didn't try it earlier!

I used to use Zymol or Swissvax on my daily drivers plus the E Type and TR3a but switched to Meguiars a while ago and haven't looked back. People who looked the 2 old'ns haven't noticed any difference in finish or shine.
The g techniq stuff is good, I have used 'the apply at home stuff' but don't really want to use anything that can't be easily removed.
Whatever final coat is used in my opinion they key is in initial preparation which includes washing, clay bar, and machine polishing.
Tim
