Is it 292 or 306bhb

Right I’m picking the new car up on Friday. It was registered may 15. Is listed on Land Rover site as a 292bhp car but when I go onto the gov website it’s giving me the emissions as 185g/kg which if I’m right is the 306hp engine.
Also on the topix site it’s listed at 225/700 which againif I’m right is the 306hp engine. Seems to be a bit all over the place with cars registered around this time with the engine change.

a May 2015 car will be 306 BHP. Mine was manufactured in Feb 2015 and registered 1st March and it was the 306 so yours will most certainly be that. Thumbs Up

Hi,
hope you enjoy the car Thumbs Up

from what I found some were 292 and some 306 even after 2015 I was buying a 65 plate that was a 292 (car turned out to be NOT as described and deposit back) so no definitive month/year during 2015
it is landrover don't forget Rolling Eyes

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Rule of thumb, if it is an HSE then most likely to be 292hp, if HSE Dynamic or Autobiography Dynamic (all Autobiography are Dynamic in UK) then it will be 306hp and have the full Terrain Response with the additional Dynamic setting on the far left of the rotary selector - plain HSE’s / 292hp RRS don’t have that. I’m not sure about this but IIRC all HSE’s after 2016MY are also 306hp, regardless of whether or not they have the Dynamic mode. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes all trims (inc HSE) moved over to 306bhp at same time in 2015, so you will get 15 plate and 65 plate 306bhp cars from MY15.5 (ie those without MY16 features like revised heated seats through temp display etc) onwards.

Land Rover get it wrong on the AUC site sometimes so don’t rely on their description. Mine didn’t even have over £3ks worth of options listed on the approved used site and I only found out it had the extras when I went to pick it up!

Sorry Tim completely wrong info above. As i said my Feb 2015 manufactured standard HSE was a 306BHP car. MY15.5 cars and above were all 306 BHP. I remember this well as the 306 was not on any insurers database but my V5 doc had 306 on it - the insurers eventually caught up and my insurance went up by £20 for the invreased BHP!!

Hi,
well the 65 plate HSE that I "was" buying was defiantly a 292 and Not a 306 so I am with the Rule of Thumb approach Whistle

Like any purchase check it out in detail to confirm what it is and what it has Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022

As far as I know that is not possible and if it was then the car would have been manufactured before Feb 2015 and then registered later. Thumbs Up

My V5 doesnt have the hp only the emissions which is 185. So I'm not too sure whether its 292 or 306 myself

306 bhp was on the 2016 model, which came out approx sept 2015 time which was euro 6
there were a few 15 reg's but very few that were early 2016 model cars. most 65 reg's were 2016 model's
if you can press the temp button and then twiddle to adjust the seat heat it was a 2016 model, same as if
you have a small washer jet on the rear reversing camera then it was a 2016 model and 306 bhp

Yes but it seems that from March 2015 LR fitted MY15 cars with the euro6 engines but not the change in equipment. Hence me asking about finding the build date.
