Garage door opener

I believe my car has the garage door open facility or whatever it's called in Land Rover speak. I don't have a garage door to open, but near us there is a gate to access a road that requires a remote blipper to open. We have right of access and have one blipper between my wife and I. What are the chances do you think that I could program the garage door opener from the blipper to open the gate? Thanks

The system is called Homelink, if it’s fitted there is normally 3 buttons in the overhead light cluster, to programme you need to put it in learn mode, then it copies the code to the car. I’ve never come across a RRS with it fitted yet, I do plenty of Bentleys
If fitted, it should be in the handbook which way to code in. MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition

Thanks, pretty sure I have those buttons. I'm not sure of the technology that opens garage doors vs a gate, just wondering on feasibility.

Hi
our 2010 had the homelink and you should be able to programme any remote, so I would go for a Yes it should work Thumbs Up

we used ours to turn on the lights on the front of our garage, we never remember to take the remote with us and no homelink on this car Sad

The lights are plugged into a remote control socket inside the garage

you just have to remember which button you have used Whistle
