I had the same problem as everybody else with the GPS icon crossed out in red. I decided to buy an antenna as per Flack’s post and tried it first by connecting it directly to the back of the navigation unit and put the antenna by the window. Disconnected/connected all the cables first to give it a “reset”, did a location calibration and drove around for about half hour and the GPS icon is still crossed out in red and the location in the map is miles away from where the car is.

Am I the only one who has a genuine navigation unit faulty or was I so unlucky to buy a faulty or incompatible antenna of ebay? It was only £4.95. See link below

https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/GPS-SAT-NAV-AERIA...SwAQBap0g4

By the way the model number of the navigation unit on my RRS is 8H42 10E887 AB.

Just in case anybody has the same issues as me here is an update to my problem ^^^.
I bought another navigation unit and it still didn't work, it was still showing the GPS symbol crossed out. It turns out that if I remove the Fakra connector from the end of the new antenna and push the coaxial cable further it would work. Not sure why it wouldn't work with the Fakra connector ON, maybe the manufacturer of the antenna didn't assemble the connector properly?. Anyways, followed the instructions as per Flack's instructions and all is working again, but still with no Fakra connector at the end of the antenna. So now I have a fully working spare navigation unit which will have to go back to Ebay again. Happy days Very Happy . 2008 Range Rover Sport 2.7 SE Zermatt Silver.
