United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

MPG I would say about the same,,i was only getting 25ish out of my RRS2 AB 296bhp where some were quoting 35mpg,i never got near that & if your towing with it I would say you will get more out of the V8 as its not working as hard.Go for the V8,at least the crankshaft wont snap.

Crank snapping would be one of my biggest worries to be honest and like you say won’t happen on the V8. I’ll mill it over for the rest of the day. Ideally I’d like one with a towbar already fitted but again not a deal breaker.

If I had a choice between the SDV6 and SDV8 at similar price, I'd have the V8 every time. Thumbs Up

Anyone worrying about a few mpg on 6k miles a year is buying the wrong vehicle either way... Rolling with laughter Heck, on that use, I'd have the Supercharged and enjoy it while such things still exist! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Mpg doesn’t really bother me I use an S4 for work averaging 20-24mpg it’s just as the wife will mostly be driving it I don’t want her giving off 😂. Then again I’ll just be handed the keys to go fill it.

just a note on the towbar front

had ours fitted by the dealer L/R item removable bar (more secure than previous model Whistle ) with cut out rear panel
keep the old panel and if you pivot the tow elec plug you can refit the original panel and nothing is seen
and less than half the price of the removable one

Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020
gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016
gone Ipanema HSE lux 2010
gone Rimini HSE 2005

Another question what are the standard spec differences between an HSE Dynamic and autobiography. The V8 I was looking at turns out has 58k on it opposed to 24k. Broadening my search and looking at HSE Dynamic as well as there’s are a lot more out there.

Things like extended leather as standard, pano roof as standard. Body coloured sills etc. standard. Think the 825W Meridian set up is std, too.

When I specced my car, the things I valued were not std in an AB, they were still options, and I didn't value what was std in an AB, so stuck with the HSE Dynamic plus options. About £15k to £20k saving that way. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I’m getting a constant 33mpg out of my 306bhp SDV6 - and I don’t hang about. That’s a mix of different roads, but mainly fast B roads.

But it sound like you’ve been lured by the V8! Mr. Green

Well I bit the bullet today and have put down a deposit on this. 2015 HSE Dynamic with 16k on it. 22’s, panoramic roof and few other bits. Hopefully collect it next week once finance is all arranged. Can’t wait.

V6. The V8 didn’t work out. Had a deal almost done until I realised their ad said it had 24k on it when it really had 58k ok it. Saying that I’m more than happy with what I’ve got.
