Interior lights

Hi. This is my first post here as I'm a new Range Rover owner, please someone help me!

I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport and since I purchased the car I haven't been able to get the interior lights to work properly when the doors open etc. I have checked the bulbs and fuses and have found the way to switch them from off to automatic but still nothing is working.

The puddle lights do work when the doors are opened although I have found that I'm missing 2 of these from the rear doors, when I move the front ones to the back they works so I assume the wiring is ok.

All 4 map reading lights work correctly so its just the courtesy light in the front, foot wells and boot that Is causing me an issue.

I know its only a silly thing but its driving me mad not being able to sort it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

could be expensive. Shocked Like a CJB fault.

I recall there are 3 outputs.

Interior lights 1
Interiors lights 2
approach lights, in the bottom of the mirrors

I don't have the wiring diagrams for your to be able to help further.

But I'm sure there could be a cheaper fix if it is the CJB

I'm not sure what a CJB is but I have just remembered that when the number plate bulbs blew there was no error code reported which I believe there should be.

Oh and I didn't even know I should have the approach lights so what you're saying does ring true.

The early RRS didn't have bulb failure monitoring Rolling Eyes

Not all had approach lights. Have a look under the mirror.

Is it fuse No. 57 that you have checked ? as that is the Interior light fuse but as I think the map lights and sun visor mirror vanity lights run of the same fuse that does sound like it is o.k. I think initially it I would double check they are switched to automatic, you say you have found out how to do this as it is simple enough, press and hold interior light button until they flash and should show message on info. screen in dash.

Cheers
Col
