caught speeding on the M5

unfortunately i got caught doing 69mph in a 60 on the m5, if i attend the workshop rather than the fine and points on my license, do i have to inform my insurance company and does anyone know the cost of the workshop.

£100 for the workshop, if your insurance asks you 'should' tell them. Currently there is no central database of drivers that have been on a course and the county that runs them do not make this data accessible to insurance companies or each other. Hence you can do more than one at a time if you were caught in a different country that doesn't share information with others.

I have done a speed awareness course a couple of years ago - 25 in a 20 over Tower bridge iirc.

100 odd quid iirc.

I never informed my insurance company. 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR
