Spoke to my dealer yesterday LR are not taking any SVR orders on SVO paints, black roofs or black wheels until June they reckon. Mine has been pushed back from delivery of 23rd Feb to March 2nd now. Current

Hello people, I am new here as just ordered my new MY18 SVR 1 week ago which has been booked into system and told expect a delivery date slot for April'18

After having the Evoque for last 2 years, whilst its perfect for the offload capability i need for sport i do for hobby, the boot space is not large enough and, to be honest, i miss elements of the performance and noise I've had from previous cars. Evoque was meant to show i was going sensible for a change but missed the fun element, so thought a SVR will give me best of both worlds

I've also gone a bit mad on the spec (as i always do), plus, as I've got some history of mad paint jobs in past (TVR Tuscan especially), I've gone for the hugely expensive but hoping awesome Borealis Black - Ultra Metallic Satin Matte finish ! I like to be different It does come with various warnings on how not to clean it etc (cant jet wash or use various cleaning agents etc) but i am hoping it will be worth it haha

I've pretty much got every extra on the car as i always do with exception of any carbon upgrades this time...summary;

Any tips on extra security layers for the car? I've bought a stoplock pro steering wheel clamp of late which will use, car is parked on drive but have cctv systems around outside of house and also got security key fob signal protectors...much else need to do?

Welcome Alan, and wow, that is some spec. The only thing I would have second thoughts about is the black veneer, shows up the bits and finger prints horridly, having ocd (in my particular case) its going to be bad enough trying to cope with all the new touchy screeny bits!
Anyway, congrats!

Personally the satin paint would drive me nuts. Bad enough with normal paint when a bird craps on it and you don’t notice until the next day (heaven forbid if go away for a week)!

Cat 5 tracker is a good peace of mind.

Yea re colour, when not using it for days at a time will get the external cover to protect it...

The c/f trim would look good with that leather combo.

Re Tracker. As you say, IC is only Cat 6. The great benefit of Cat 5 is the driver ID tag and remote disable.
