NFU were happy with the cat 6 already installed in my car. And they offer new for old for the first TWO years if the car is written off.

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Stornoway Grey

I was lucky as we added my SVR onto our work fleet policy, but i guesstimate it's adding £1600 onto our policy though

I'm 28 so did struggle to find someone that would insure me

Has anybody shopped around for quotes recently for SVRs? I just did a quick search and the cheapest was £2,200 on compare the market. I know that I will find a much better quote with a few calls but that is significantly more than my 5.0L Autobiography that only cost £700!

I was paying around £600 on a multi car policy with Admiral in July last year and Land Rover wanted £1800. Might find many companies won’t quote now as car will be over £100k

For the first year mine went onto a multicar policy with Admiral. Around £750. A year later the renewal came through over 4 figures. after negotiating I got it down some but still 4 figures, so I left Admiral and went to LV. They gave be the best price and was the only main-stream insurance company that wanted less than 4 figures. SVR with a few bits from Urban and Glohh

Admiral multicar for me too. Insured all 3 of our cars for less than most other insurers wanted for the SVR alone.

Trying to get a quote for the impending delivery of my SVR in two weeks time but nobody seems to have the MY18 (575bhp) on their system so can't get a quote Sad

Years ago my mate was 21 but had lots of rare cars like Audi Quattro, Porsche 911, MGC, Sunbeam Tiger, not all at the same time but in succession.

He bought an old Hillman Imp and insured it with a fully comp trade policy that covered him fully comp on any other car and then buried the Hillman Imp in his garden so it will never get stolen or have a claim!!

He still has the policy 20 years later but not sure if you can get them from new any more. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

Tried NFU and they won't quote for the middle of London which is where I live. Tried Admiral and they can't find an SVR on their system. Tried Privilege and they require a Cat 5 and unless I am mistaken the MY 18 is still a Cat 6?

Tired A Plan and they said they will call back. Will also try Land Rovers own insurance. At least they should be able to recognise the car!

Have any of you guys managed to find insurance for the new SVR? As when i put it in the usual online comparisons they are all shown 18mdl but with the lesser bhp. Rolling Eyes SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Hi Paul,

I just emailed you!

Yes, nobody seems to have the 575 BHP on their system but I found a broker who confirmed to me in writing that their underwriter has agreed that the MY 18 SVR will be exactly the same rating and cost as the previous SVR.

The broker is a chap called Richard Kanfiszer from First Point (r.kanfiszer@firstpoint.co.uk) and he found a company called ERS Supercar for me.

Cheers
