United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
My end of my PCP cars going back

My time with my car is coming to an end in March. Landrover gave me a trade in deal for another one of £22k, my final payment is £26k
It has been a good car and in total has 27k on the clock, when I got the car, I have fitted side steps, mud flaps, LED interior lights and that’s it.
Question is, will I have to remove these or not ??
The car will be 4.5 years old when it goes, so whoever buys it will get a good car, I only use it at weekends and the full extra LR Warranty , Tax, and depreciation is a little too much for me.
I may go back in when it’s gone to see what’s on offer, but there’s a big jump in prices, MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition

Return it to as close to standard as you can. If you read the PCP terms you could be charged a fee to remove them (even if the finance company sells the car with them still on it) - would suggest that you take off the side steps and sell them on here as even used ones are in demand. The mud flaps aren’t much use used and neither are the LED interior lights. The spare wheel protector is also worth something used on here or on the Disco3 and Disco4 forums.
I also will end my PCP at the end of March but have only got the stainless steel front and rear bash plates as dealer fitted accessories and as they are glued on I will be leaving them. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thank you, the crankshaft problem has also made it a firm hand back for me, I pay £1200 to LR for the Warranty, but should it break I don’t have the funds available for me to get it fixed, looks like I will be removing all parts in next few weeks, I forgot about the wheel protection.
Thanks for the input.
Happy New Year.

Can anyone clarify my query please Question

If the final payment is £26k then the GMF value of the Sport is £26k - if you use the same finance company with the vehicle used as deposit surely this will give you £26k to start again Thumbs Up

The above is what I was told when I terminated my agreement with Alphera finance - as per GDM LR was offering me less than the settlement figure which sent me of like a firework - excuse the pun Whistle

But he hasn't paid the 26k, that's still outstanding, surely

As I read it, he is now in negative equity by 4k...

^^^^ that makes sense ^^^^ so unless LR offer above £26k there's no point keeping it Thumbs Up

I sold my last Sport for £29k making £3.5k over the settlement figure - maybe GDM you should atleast try & sell it privately Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

As I understand this situation - if you want to come out early then you’re in 4K negative based on the figures you ve advised.

Come end of the agreement your gurranteed future value is your settlemt figure in this case (26k)

So you hand the car back and walk away without owing anyone anything. Thumbs Up 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR

There's still a point in keeping it, if you want to continue in a RRS.

Obviously there's no point trading it in with LR for a new one, may as well hand the keys back and just take out a new package on the new car, but if you fancy keeping the old car it could be worth paying the GMV if that's less than LR would charge for another one of similar age and condition (take a couple of grand into account for 2 years warranty). There is a very significant difference in what LR offer on a trade-in and what LR sell a used car for. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

He could , but he would be settling £26k for a car that’s worth £22k (trade in value)

With PCP, once you've paid back a minimum of half the payments you can just hand the vehicle back and not owe anything. I can't work out why you would want to pay £4k to get out of the deal if you're at the end, you just hand it back. 2012 RRS SDV6

I might be mad, but I have decided to pay the £26k and keep the car, I got a price of WBAC and they would buy it for £27500
So I don’t feel as I am being ripped off now, I can’t afford a new one and this car is spotless and hasn’t caused me many issues, apart from water in the tyres and faulty heated rear screen, I do pay for LR extended warranty, and heard the stories about the crankshaft, but there’s only one person on here who have had this problem, so I will be staying.
