Loose door seal

I have the dreaded left hand side footwell wet. I’ve done all the usual checks and the sun roof drainage channels seem to be fine. I think i read somewhere on here over the past few days about a footwell leakage that came from a broken door seal.

I noticed today that part of my door seal - that connects to the body of the car cones away at one point. Probably a 5 cm area. Would that be a probable cause of water ingress.

I also noticed today that around the same area as the loose door seal - on the inside windscreen there was an area of condensation.

Cheers

Isn’t there something on here about a leaky windscreen seal as well causing this. Also check your filter behind the glove box for damp IIRC Robin

My issue was the seal along the bottom.

Pulled it up. Looked for wet /rust.
Added black sealant to car and refitted.

ok, thanks for the replies. The footwell is on the driver side (LHD), the passenger side leaked last year but has been fixed and shows no signs of pain yet. The windscreen cowling has been 'loose' for a good while - over a year and hasn't shown to be the problem

The investigation continues. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

And mine was the windscreen scuttle panel leak.

Plastic bottle method to cover the cabin filter corner exposure, sealed the scuttle back with RTV sealant. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
