I went for the Amazon mats in the end. Really good quality and non slip too. Only ordered 3.....then realised I really need 5 Laughing

Gym is arriving today.....changed my order though, the one I showed would have been too tight a fit. I`ll post a pic when it`s up Thumbs Up

I went for this lever type...doesn`t look much but I can do virtually everything I do in the gym, plus I ordered a 125kgs set of tri grip plates Very Happy

I have interlocking rubber mats in my workshop. Great for storing and working on motorcycles - except if you have to kneel as they are patterned!!

I have my Kickr smart trainer set up in there and connected to Zwift Very cold at the moment at 6am in the mornings to put an hours cycling in before I go to work as my workshop doesn't have any heating. It is at the bottom my my garden too, so double chilly!!

Here is my set up - and tiles:

I don't need a heater, I have what I would call "Organic heating"; you may know it as "fat" Rolling with laughter

If it gets too cold I can always hold my breath for the hour and turn on this:

The tiles have been down a few years, great, wash well but dent if there is a heavy load on a small contact patch (Bike mainstand or sidestand). A piece of ply normally sorts this out.

The Kickr is great however, it whines like my Ex. OK at the bottom of the garden but not in the house in the early hours. Direct drive is the only way to go. I use Zwift and Strava to log the rides. Strava also logs my "real" rides.

Please don't get the wrong end of the stick here, I am an old bloke who cycles a little bit - about 3 to 4 hours a week so I can eat kebabs and full English's. I am not a sportsman! I would also love a multigym but I don't have the energy to buy one.

Out of interest Steve, why have you gone for a multi-gym?

I used to have an old York m/g but got rid of it in the end. I now just have an adjustable bench, which does for squats and dips too, a pull-up bar and a load of free weights. Can do all the exercises needed and there's evidence that says free weights are more beneficial than machine weights.

Spose cos it`s more compact and suited to training alone really. Everything I do in the gym (except seated rows), I can do on this. When I first saw this one I didn`t think you could do much with it but there`s over 30 different exercises possible.

It`a assembled now and the weights are due today Very Happy Steve.
