Mine was a 1961 Morris Minor purchased in 1968 when I was18. Dad was a mechanic and a friend of his in the sales department let me have a part exchange for a good price. He asked £45.00 for it and given the large amount he let me pay over 3 months Very Happy Great little car which taught me how to slide a rear driven car around in relative safety given its low speed and cross ply tyres.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

I had a black 1983 Mk1 Fiesta Finesse so it had an amazing go faster stripe, I made it really cool by upgrading the steel wheels to 12” Alloys that looked like wheel trims and then I fitted the round Xr2/ss headlights and metal bumper with indicators in, It had a foam boot spoiler too Laughing oh and how can I forget the illuminated green stereo goodmans iirc, I had fond memories of that car but changed it for Mk2 86 Fiesta Ghia and the highlight of the ghia was an electric boot release and rev counter it even had windy up windows,

Speaking of Windy up windows my mate was telling me about taking his daughters to a truck show and they sat in an old truck and one of the girls pointed at the winder and asked what it was when he explained and told her that’s what cars had too she genuinely thought he was winding Wink her up. How old does that make you feel Clickadeeclick

First car was a 1973 Hillman Avenger 2 door in white - got it free off my aunt in 1983 after my cousin blew engine after forgetting to check oil Rolling Eyes

Replacement engine from scrap yard fitted by mechanic my dad knew and I ditched the Honda mtx for warm/dry transportation Mr. Green

Used to spend my free time replacing bits like wings, touching up rust and welding chassis to keep it running but I thought it was the best until I saw a Mk1 Fiesta 1300s then it had to go Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Finland 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Rimini Red

First car was an Austin Metro in orange with no second gear, worked in Sidmouth then and the route was country roads, going into a 90 degree right hand bend which went directly into a very steep hill.. Get it right and i could gun it around the corner and up the hill, go wrong or hit traffic and it was up the long hill in 1st gear. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

UTP 796K, MK1 Escort 1.1L in maroon, managed to take all sorts of punishment including getting 2 feet of the ground from a local humpback bridge. Eventually two Scrotes nicked it and managed to hit a tree, insurance write-off, only good thing about that was, there was blood on the seats so at least they hurt themselves Censored 2015 HSE SDV6 Scotia Grey, ebony / lunar, colour coded, deployable steps, TV, sliding pano and a few other bits. My 2nd car, and the first brand new car I owned, was a white Fiesta Finesse with the same huge stripes in Black, White and Brown down the sides. It survived a swim in a local stream after spinning it on black ice and going through a bridge parapet, just missing the car that had done exactly the same thing about 3 minutes before me! It was hardly damaged at all as the stream was frozen hard. About a month later aftervit was fixed up I lost traction coming down a steep road covered in snow and went off roading in it, again no damage and was able to drive straight across the garden I ended up in and drive back out down the house’s drive Embarassed they don’t make cars like they used to - thank goodness as that one succumbed to tin worm. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

White Mini 850 Van - HMJ 267N

£150 off some bloke nr Oxford, drove it back pleased as punch aged 18. It over-heated, so first lesson I learnt was that any cheap Minis for sale that looked good, invariably needed a new radiator!

Lived on an Army estate in Camberley with my Sister/Bro-in-Law and worked in Whites, which at the time was a BL garage, so was able to get cheaper bits and advice. Over the course of the summer, I repaired the body work and proceeded to spray it White/Blue in a sort of naval disruptive camouflage design. Blue vinyl roof of course. Not sure why. Got a lot of people talking on the estate though.

Used to drive it up to London at the weekends and sleep in it when I couldn't get someone's mum to let me have a couch. It eventually started towards its demise when I was at a girl-friend's house in Wimbledon and we heard a large bang. Her mum came in all read faced and owned up to having hit the accelerator not the brake on her Range Rover (!!) and rammed into the back of it - massive crease that bowed the cabin just under the rear windows and nothing, not even a scratch on the RR.

White Peugeot 205 XS, F553RPH - with K & N filter and re-jetted to give 115 hp. Bought when it was four years old with 8,000 miles and with the pre-delivery polythene still on the rear seats. Had been serviced like clockwork every six months by lady owner.

After about three months I hit some ice and did three complete rolls into a field. Roof was down to the level of the doors. Shocked

As standard, the book stated 50 - 70 in 4th was 5.5 secs. Even today, that'd be good going...

Renault Clio RXE.

It was a 1.6 so it was pretty fast for a 17yr old! Loved cleaning it as you can tell and the habit has stuck since.

RXD 268F - 1968 MGC GT in British Racing Green and really tatty cream vinyl interior - kept until 2001 then sold it to an MG Enthusiast who has lovingly rebuilt it to concours condition...

Wish I'd kept that car, along with a 512 BBi, 550 Maranello and an Aston Martin Vantage (1985) and 2x Vanquish S's - all sold to early Big Cry

Mine was a Mk1 Cortina with Riccaro racing seats, column shift, red plush carpets and hand painted black (complete with brush marks!!). I paid £50 for it 32 years ago.
It was a rust bucket and the the passenger could put their foot through the floor! I thought it was the dogs Censored

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?
