Yes - only worth having with a V6, and then too dam' expensive. Dearer than RR SPort, and that makes no sense at all for a far smaller car. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Everyone reckons to avoid the 2.0ltr engined cars as they are seriously under powered. Dealers have huge stocks of them so plenty of low miles pre-reg cars are available too that you can negotiate on. Problem will be what will it be worth when you want to move on if they cannot shift them now? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Whistle Whistle
Better looking than the Velar,,& probably a 5th of the price,,plus like Tim says 7 years warranty.LR definitely need to get their act together especially after all the crankshaft problems, they will be loosing loads of customers,I know of 5 friend who were looking at buying used L494’s but after I’ve told them about my old one snapping crankshaft & LR not wanting anything to do with it they have gone for other brands like BMW & Audi,so 5 friends each spending on average 55-60k is a lot of money to lose. And not one person from LR has been on here with any explanation to what they are doing about the crank issue isn’t helping them at all. “

I’m also thinking of a Velar, got an extended test drive in one on Monday & Tuesday when mine goes in for a service / MOT, Loving the look of the interior, i specced up one on the config and came out around the £77k mark Shocked , but I think it’s all relative really, even tho dearer than a RRS HSE, if you spec up an autobiography to roughly the same spec you’re talking over £90k, which I can’t stretch to Big Cry A base spec Velar is around the £45k mark whereas the sport base model is around the £ 61k mark 2015 HSE SDV6 Scotia Grey, ebony / lunar, colour coded, deployable steps, TV, sliding pano and a few other bits. Now gone

I looked at the Velar 380P and decided while nice, maybe too small, for me. The young sales lady said a V8SC would be more “me” that’s how I ended up with one Laughing

Hi RCV. Interesting question. When I saw the Velar in the press when it was first announced I thought mmm, lovely but in the flesh, not so. Haven't been aware of the crankshaft issue on RRS2 till this thread - better do my research as I'm beginning to consider an update from my TDV8.... Confused
