2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Cancel your SVR orders now....... Don’t Cancel now!

According to Autocar today JLR will be lunching a 2 door Coupe SVR FFRR in December. In best Autocar tradition of posting mock up photos they have published a photo of the 2004 Stormer RRS that was a design exercise for the then yet to be revealed RRS! If you want to see the one and only Stormer ever made then get along to the Motor Heritage Centre at Gaydon where they have this wonderful coupe on show. 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV on order for April delivery, bye bye Land Rover after 21 years and 11 LR products..... all because you won’t give me reassurance that should my SDv6 crankshaft break because of a design fault, not MY fault, but the engine builders fault - it will be replaced for free.
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, but not for much longer........
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I don't see it on their website?

As an aside, why did you swap the SDV6 for an SCV8, or even an SDV8? Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: http://bit.ly/22l8YHh

I haven’t changed yet - my PCP ends in April, I was going to keep my current car and pay for extended warranty but as the snapping crankshaft is not covered I have decided not to buy another new Land Rover product and downsize to a Mini Countryman - if LR would assure me that my car would be covered in the event of a crankshaft failurevthen I wouldn’t hesitate to keep the car as it has run perfectly, but as I am retiring soon the hit of the cost of a new engine would be beyond my means.
The item about the 2 door Coupe is on page 45 top right corner of the 3rd Jan issue

Do LR not learn that 2 door doesnt sell well.

Just look at all the Velars sat at the dealers, that marketing didn’t work either, I doubt a 2 door FF will sell either.

I agree with you all. LR also, if you remember, initially produced Evoque with 2 Coupes for every 5 door that initially went down the line they were so confident that the Coupe would be more popular. 5 door Evoques way outnumber Coupes even though IMHO the Coupe looks better and is no smaller inside than the 5 door, just more awkward to get into and more expensive again after several years of the two cars being the same price! 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV on order for April delivery, bye bye Land Rover after 21 years and 11 LR products..... all because you won’t give me reassurance that should my SDv6 crankshaft break because of a design fault, not MY fault, but the engine builders fault - it will be replaced for free.

my first evoque was a 2 door, the roof line was lower in the rear and awkward as hell to get in the back with high heels after a few lemonades!

I went 5 door with the second one.

They were super rare around here, no one had a 2 door. 2012 Evoque

Yes my first one was a launch day Coupe with all the trimmings except the spare wheel and smoker’s pack, 2nd one was a 5 door which, while it was more user friendly, I didn’t like as much, don’t know why but I felt the Coupe was more suited to my circumstances - 99% of my driving is with only me in the car.

The original Range Rover was a 2 door which didn't do Land Rover much harm as it started the global luxury 4x4 thing. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.
