Rebuilt engine

Firstly happy new year to all
After oil pump tensioner snapped off
I made the decision to have engine rebuild
It caused considerable damage
I've had it done by engine builder that my
Local indie put me in touch with
I've had to resource a different crank main bearings to
As mine had a crack in it showed under X-ray
6 sets of rings lifters valves oil pump etc etc
Started to put the engine in over xmas break body on
Gearbox in transfer box in engine almost ready to start
For first time my question is do I immobilise it
To build up oil pressure I've read somewhere about
removing pressure switch and pump oil in there ?
Also once started hold revs at 2000 rpms for a good ten minutes
Don't want to wreck engine on first start
It's a 2.7 sport thank you in advance for any advice given very much appreciated

I would NOT deprive it of fuel to get oil pressure as

1) It doesn't work! You won't get oil pressure and it will cause more wear
2) By the time you have got fuel around the system and it wanting to start , you will have been cranking for ages anyway!

Thank you for your reply yes you are right
It should be up on oil pressure by the time the fuel
Gets there to fire up very good point
So all I need to find out now is do I let it tick over
Or 2000rpms for a few minutes to bed rings in
Thank you once again
