United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Gearbox flush

Hi Guys
I’m new to the world of RRS and purchased a 07 TDV6 back in September, I have a question about the gearbox flush.
Read a few posts on here and people mention a Mega Flush, can someone explain what that is and involves and at what mileage it should be done.
Cheers

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Hi woodster,, welcome to the RRS fraternity!. The mega flush is a means of changing the Gearbox oil and is carried out using a specialist machine,, a bit like a having a blood transfusion. The problem with these gearboxes is that just draining and refilling by conventional means would only replace a small amount of the oil,, hence the need for one of these specialist units which will replace all of the oil. Not a lot of dealers keep these machines which is why it's sometimes difficult to find someone on your doorstep to carry it out. Gearbox manufacturer recommends to do this at 75k miles but it would never hurt to do it earlier. 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!
Many years ago,,,,, 1955 series 1 landie , sometimes wish I had kept it

Lucifus,

I had mine done at JGS 4x4 near Kettering. Highly recommended, had it remapped too!
