Special programs

Bit of a strange question well more advice really
During the snow we’ve had I’ve driven to suit the conditions
Like given myself more braking etc
I was just wondering would I have been better
To just use the snow program on the special program dial ?
Cheers

Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Java Black

Use both but more time and space for braking will always be better as 2.5 toms is quite hard to stop on snow Thumbs Up

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Just remember that the special programs are meant to get you going and keep you moving............ they don’t have any effect on stopping distance although HDC can help by stopping wheels from locking up with out you needing to use the foot brake. Also if you get into deep snow and find you need to try using the tyre sidewalls to help get grip by turning the steering a lot then you also need to disable the DSC until you get going again when you should reset it to the default on position. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
