United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Another newbie

Hi all, just a quick hello. I have been lurking in the background whilst looking for my first RRS.
I have just picked up a 2010 hse in grey with ivory leather. It’s completely stock with full service history from the main dealer 50k on the clock. I have just driven 100miles from Tewksbury to Nottingham and I am in awe of its comfort and ease of use of controls etc. I had done a fair bit of research on here for various items but look forward to trawling through all your posts/advice to make sure I get the best from my ownership.

Re: Welcome to RRSPORT.CO.UK - say hello here!

Hi All

After months of deliberating and having had German marques for years I've just bagged my self a 2006 RRS with decent enough miles.
Seriously good drive but probably should have gone for the supercharged version. 2.7 seems a tad sluggish. I've clocked 150 miles in two days and have picked up on a couple of things.
The engine management light came on a day after I picked it up. Its still on as I write. I drove 60 miles to work this morning with no issues. The are no other mechanical issues that I'm aware of. The dealer told me it had just been serviced. I've got a 12 month full warranty. Whether its worth the paper its written on remains to be seen.

The other issue is the Bluetooth not picking up my iPhone 6S contacts list.

Apart from that, its all good

Whisper90, welcome to the forums. First step is to take the car back to the supplying person and get them to fix it under the warranty. It could be any of a number of things but suspect it might be the EGR/ Turbo. Ask them while you are there when the belts were last changed and if the oil pump has been changed as that iis a body off job and should be done at the same time as the belts. Don’t panic at “body off” as the car is designed to be detached from the chassis in about an hour with the help of a lift and some experience.the Bluetooth sounds like it might need the upgraded unit - contact member Bodsy on the forum as he can supply them 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Great. Thanks for the advice. The light is a bit of a worry. That said, I drove around in a CLK for 2 years with said light permanently on. Dealers couldn't find a fault. I will get in touch with the Bluetooth guru at some point. I'm guessing his BT upgrades wont cover things like music streaming. I believe that's a whole that's a whole different ball game. I did consider an aftermarket jobby but feel the need to enjoy the car as is

Millsy, which model year is the car - IIRC all RRS TDV6, SDv6 and TDV8 after 2011 or 2012 had DPFs, ie facelifted L320’s - I think too that diesel RRS’s with DPF’s have downward pointing exhaust outlets on the tail pipes, non DPF cars have straight out exhausts. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi guys,

Been lurking for a while now, picked up a 13 reg Black Edition in September, it’s been great!
I work a lot on these cars (bodywork/scratches/scuffs/alloys) and grew to love them, so was very happy to have the opportunity to have my own!

It’s a Baltic Blue with ivory, approx 50k miles from Stratstone Houghton Le Spring, had to chase them a bit but they were pretty good to be fair. I’ve done a few mini off road things, one at the Land Rover international show at tixover quarry and another one in October run by Land Rover Monthly magazine, more will be done when I have the time!

Not going to do much to do it, it had the original 20” 5 spokes in silver, I managed to find a very cheap set of 5 original 19” v spokes, refurbed them and put some 255/55s on, more of an experiment to begin with but I’m quite pleased with them so will keep for the moment. Have tried to attach a picture, excuse the muck!
Also got one of the spare wheel protectors, next on list will be some rear light screws so that will be my 2nd post!

Just would like to say thank you to all on here for the knowledge/advice etc, really helped before my purchase and have no doubts it will continue!

Thanks again!
Pete
