Been offered a 2005 RRS HSE 94,000mls 1 owner LR FSH they'll give it a full engine service and fit genuine cam belts front and back and water pump at a good price am I right in thinking that that year had no oil pump casing issues, and what is with this steering wheel Rolling Eyes

I'd rather have a new oil pump than water pump.

Lots of nice oil pressure (and makes engine sound sweet if nothing else) and stronger mount.

Ask them to change the pump while they are doing it if you supply the pump as it will cost you a lot less to have them do it while they are there and yes the 2005 ones are less prone but while the belts are off Thumbs Up

If that is the case ask them how they change the oil pump and belts at the rear of the engine............... if they don’t mention removing the body then it is a hugely difficult job taking ages to do and be very suspicious that they may not have done it at all. Also on a 2005 car it may be worth checking if the EGR’s have been blanked off and the software altered so you don’t get ny warning lights on the dash. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Was thinking of asking that. Island do Oil Pump TDV6 (OEM) LR013487 C2C39664 LR076782G @ £139 or Oil Pump TDV6 (Genuine) LR013487 C2C39664 LR076782 for @ £210 plus the dreaded vat whats the difference in quality. also if I bought it would that invalidate the warranty he's offering you know what dealers are like Banging Head and staying away from sh*tpart £50 If it ain't broken down it soon will

Looks like it took its design cues from the 'Quartic' steering wheel from the Allegro...
