Big day tomorrow

Right well thanks to you lot I will be joining the L494 club tomorrow when the new V8SC is delivered Laughing I am going to miss the grin factor of the M3 which has been very reasonable to run for 2 years but SWMBO says 1 car for me, not 2. I hope it’s going to be quick enough. Wink

You could one out to Aussie though as a nice Xmas break in the sun.........

BKHK, enjoy the new car when it comes, the handling of the L494 in Dynamic mode is really very very good at speed, even when you only have the SDv6 3ltr there is plenty of entertainment and certainly enough to surprise the boy racers. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

After all the posts I’ve read on here about my old one snapping a crankshaft,,I don’t think the warranty is worth the paper it’s written on anyway.

I collected my new car this afternoon. First impressions:

Bigger than the L320. Turning circle not quite as good, maybe the 22s vs 20s on my last car?
Controls very nicely weighted
Fit and finish better than L320
Front seat armrests cheap small and useless compared to the L320
I won't need more noise, it rumbles my back laneway where my garage is located already!
Engine is sublime and sublime again...
In control pro works well with the sim card installed but is a bit confusing, I seem to need multiple "accounts" for remote / nav and "profile" whatever that is.
Google earth view in nav is kind of cool
TFT display is excellent. The 2017 has the tacho on the right and the ability to put nav into the binnacle
HUD is good, not exceptional but fine for me.
Double pano with sunroof is great, with the windows down its almost convertible (ish)
Mrs BKHK loves it

Works ok for me to copy to copy and paste the links from your gallery

I’ll stop as Jimbg has added them too, I do like the analogue clock in the centre of the TFT, they are so much easier to read in a quick glance than a digital one 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks guys.

Analogue clock is one option, it can be LR Logo (no point) Audio (which I like) or trip info. There are other instrument "styles" but this is the cleanest I think.
